Hello, I’m Jane

Thank you for stopping by.

I’ve always loved books. As a child, I kept a torch under my bed (it was there in case of blackouts, but the battery was always strangely dead whenever such events occurred ). At lights out, I would click the torch on and read under the covers. I distinctly remember my father’s attempt’s to sneak down the hallway and check I was asleep (I never was). Fortunately, he has very creaky knees, giving me ample time to click off the torch and expertly feign sleep.

It’s still a (perhaps sad) point of pride that I managed to devour Lord of the Rings in a single day at the age of twelve…largely because the movie was being released the next day, and I didn’t want any surprises (i.e. scares).

Despite my fascination with books, it took an embarrassingly long time to realise that I might enjoy writing them as well.

I hope you find as much enjoyment in reading my books as I do in writing them.

Happy reading,

Jane
